Anytime Is a Good Time to Visit Taos Ski Valley

It’s amazing up here year-round!

Home of the highest peak in the state, stunning art galleries, fabulous shopping, and exceptional outdoor recreation in over a million acres of National Forest. Spring, summer, fall, and winter, our mountains are host to a wide range of fun-filled activities any time you visit our high altitude home, both indoor and outside.

Winding your way up to Taos Ski Valley through the charming village of Arroyo Seco, you’ll find delectable eateries perfect for fueling up for the outdoors or elegant dining experiences.

All year, Heritage Inspirations provides experiential guided tours of many varieties, including horno baking at the Taos Pueblo, Taos Artisan Walking Tours (with chocolate!), and hiking & geology to name just a few.

Longing for outdoor adventure – but as a spectator? Let your spirit fly or celebrate a special occasion with an scenic aerial tour in a hot air balloon or airplane over the famed Rio Grande Gorge.

Anglers will want or pick up a fishing license (available online or through area outfitters) and try your luck, or book a guide to maximize your chances. Northern New Mexico is renowned as an exceptional rainbow trout habitat, there are also bass, catfish, northern pike, panfish, and walleye.
