Scenic Lift Rides
New this season, both Lift 1 and 4 will be offering scenic chairlift rides!
Lift 1 (base area):
Open June 29 – September 22, 2024 (end of day)
Open Saturday-Sunday 10am-4:30pm, weather permitting
Lift 4 (Kachina Basin):
Open June 20 – September 22, 2024 (end of day)
Open Friday-Sunday 10am-4:30pm, weather permitting
Relax and enjoy the beautiful Taos Ski Valley scenery from Lift 1 or Lift 4. Enjoy views of Wheeler Peak and surrounding mountains, take photos and enjoy the wildlife that inhabit the area. Hop off at the top for a leisurely picnic with unparalleled views followed by a scenic hike down, or enjoy the simple pleasure of riding the lift up and down. Bring a layer and enjoy the ride.
Tickets can be purchased at the Lake Fork Ticket Office in the Resort Base Area or Kachina Sports in Kachina Basin. Advance reservations not required. Tickets are good for the entire day and for BOTH lifts on Saturday and Sunday.

Taos Bike Park, Mountain Bike Lessons, and Bike Rentals
The Taos Bike Park has a variety of exciting downhill mountain bike flow trails served by Lift 4. Enjoy this exhilarating experience in the amazing scenery of the mountains with the whole family. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced rider, Taos offers a variety of trails for all levels – all you have to do is choose your spice level. Built by Gravity Logic, out of Whistler, BC, with the help of the Taos Bike Park Crew.
If you’re looking for a more relaxing day at the ski valley, e-bikes are a perfect way to explore. Start at Taos Sports and bike up the Rubezahl Trail to The Bavarian to enjoy a beverage and a bratwurst! Mountain bikes and e-bikes are available to rent at Taos Sports all summer!

Via Ferrata
The TAOS Ski Valley Via Ferrata is your chance to experience the thrill of high alpine mountain climbing – no experience necessary. Donning a harness and helmet (equipment included), guests will be personally led by our Via Ferrata guide along a network of cables and climb pre-set routes of iron bars. Situated at 11,500 feet in the sub-alpine ecosystem of Kachina Peak, our guided tour offers beginner through advanced Via Ferrata route challenges, a 100-foot skybridge, and a double-cable catwalk. Guests can progress to vertical terrain with spectacular views of the Rio Hondo and Wheeler Peak Wilderness.

Kachina Sports
Purchase your scenic lift tickets or mountain bike rental. Need to grab some gloves or a rain jacket before hitting the trail? They have that too. Located next Lift 4.
Outdoor Games
On the lawn in front of the Bavarian Restaurant you’ll find fun yard games, a kid friendly climbing area, and a sand volleyball court. Open until early October.
