A Historic Landmark
Our namesake, Doctor Thomas Paul Martin—or Doc Martin as he was known—arrived in Taos in 1890 to set up shop as the town’s only family physician. A much-loved and dedicated doctor, his home was the adobe houses in which our restaurant now lives. Everything we do honors the deep-rooted history of Taos and the land around us, from our modern take on traditional, local recipes, to the home-grown ingredients we use.
Authentically Rooted
Our chef, Shawnpaul Ortiz, shares his culinary knowledge while delivering impressive quality New Mexican cuisine. From locally sourced bison to greens from our very own garden, our food embodies the Land of Enchantment. An extensive wine line, along with a range of tequila and mezcal, is all served ward, Southwestern hospitality for an authentic, modern dining experience.
