Snow Conditions & Extended Forecast

Taos Ski Valley itself sits at about 9,200′ while the Town of Taos (about a 30 minute drive) sits at about 7,000′. You’ll find quite different patterns in the Taos weather depending if you are on-mountain or off-mountain. Often there can be a 20+ degree temperature difference and while it’s snowing hard in Taos Ski Valley, it might be sunny and feel warm in the Town of Taos. In the springtime this is one of the few places you could ski in the morning and white-water raft in the afternoon!
