The Town of Taos Events is proud to present the 2026 Taos Halloween Community Event, a free, family-friendly celebration on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the heart of Historic Downtown Taos. Children, teens, and families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of Halloween fun throughout the historic district.

Festivities will take place across Taos Plaza, Teresina Lane, Juan Largo Lane, John Dunn Shops, and Bent Street, featuring trick-or-treating, decorated trunks, carnival games, and prizes. Bring your Halloween spirit and enjoy music and entertainment at the Taos Plaza Gazebo.

The first 1,500 children will receive free Halloween treat bags. Come dressed to impress for the Costume Contest, with categories for children, teens, families, and pets.

Presented by Town of Taos Events in partnership with Taos Plaza Merchants, Teresina Lane Merchants, Juan Largo Lane Merchants, John Dunn Shops, Bent Street Merchants, Taos Amateur Radio Club, Taos County, Taos High School Cheer, Taos Milagro Rotary Club, and Walmart.

FREE event parking will be available at our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Loretto Parking Lot, Town Hall, and Taos Public Library. AFTER 5:00 PM all metered parking lots will be free. For handicapped parking and for people requiring ADA access to the event, there will be extra parking at Guadalupe Parking Lot and the area next to the McCarthy Parking Lot directly behind the old County Courthouse.
