About Sylvia Rodriguez

Sylvia Rodriguez is a native Taoseña, professor emerita of anthropology and former director of the Alfonso Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies at UNM. She has conducted ethnographic research in Taos and northern New Mexico for over four decades and published books and articles about interethnic relations, tourism, ritual and identity, place, and conflict over land and water.
