Drawing from the musical styles of Americana, rock and roll, country, and bluegrass, Escape On A Horse has established themselves as unique musical-storytellers in northern New Mexico. The band features began in 2016 and got to work on self-producing and releasing their debut album in 2018. Their first album was nominated in 2019 for Best Country album by the New Mexico Music Awards. They have shared the stage with a variety of musicians including Grant Farm, Inaiah Lujan, Liver Down the River, and national country superstar James Carothers. Their second album Homeland was released in 2021 and was nominated for sever New Mexico Music Award categories in 2022. Escape On A Horse won the 2022 New Mexico Music Award for Best Western song for “Jack The Joker”.
