Wyoming-based artist and former Taos resident, Tawni Shuler, is the Paseo Project’s May 2026 Artist-in-Residence.
Shuler is known for her large-scale black-and-white drawings, which create fable-inspired visual narratives exploring the emotional and symbolic connections between animals, landscapes, and the human experience.

The Paseo Project is a Taos-based arts nonprofit dedicated to community transformation through art. Founded in 2014, the organization produces The PASEO, an annual outdoor art festival that brings experimental, interactive, and projection-based art to the streets of Taos, as well as year-round artist residencies, youth education programs, and exhibitions that connect art, place, and community.
