Book a Guided Fly Fishing Trip in Taos

Ramblin’ Fly Fishing offers guided fly fishing trips in Taos, New Mexico, with year-round wade trips, Rio Grande float trips, and personalized instruction for anglers of all experience levels. Based in Ranchos de Taos, Ramblin’ helps guests explore some of Northern New Mexico’s most scenic and productive waters, from the Rio Grande to mountain streams around the Taos area.

Whether you are brand new to fly fishing or looking to improve specific techniques, Ramblin’ Fly Fishing provides a patient, instructional, and locally informed experience on the water. Trips may focus on trout, smallmouth bass, northern pike, carp, and other regional species depending on the season, water conditions, and guest goals.

Ramblin’s guided wade trips are a classic way to experience fly fishing in Northern New Mexico. Wade trips are available for one to three anglers and include half-day and full-day options. Guests can fish accessible Rio Grande stretches, high mountain streams, and other Taos-area waters, with rods, reels, waders, boots, flies, and terminal tackle provided.

For anglers who want to cover more water, Ramblin’ also offers Rio Grande float trips just south of Taos. These raft-based fly fishing trips are available for one to two anglers and include half-day, full-day, and seasonal evening float options. Float trips are a great way to experience productive sections of the Rio Grande that are harder to reach on foot. Ramblin’ is a strong fit for first-time fly fishers, families, visiting anglers, and experienced fishers looking for local knowledge on Northern New Mexico waters.

Ramblin’ Fly Fishing is fully insured, CPR/First Aid trained, and permitted through the BLM-Taos Field Office and Carson National Forest. A New Mexico fishing license is required and is not included with guided trips.
