Big Kahuna’s Boot Worxs (formerly Bootdoctors) is a ski rental, boot fitter, and retail store located in the heart of the Taos Ski Valley. Bootdoctors has been providing outdoor gear and services since 1986. Founding members Bob Reminger and Bob Gleason founded the operation in the Taos Ski Valley in 1986. The brand then expanded to include a location in Telluride. After years of working in the industry Bootdoctors was acquired by Christy Sports, who still operates Bootdoctors today. Big Kahuna Ski and Snowboard Rentals acquired the Bootdoctors Taos Ski Valley location in 2024!
Big Kahuna’s Boot Worx will continue to offer the world renowned boot fitting services, experience and knowledge that Bootdoctors has offered. Our staff and goals have not changed. These goals are to provide our customers with the absolute best customer experience through professional boot fitting and retail offerings. We are lucky that our staff has been able to retain and learn from the original founder carrying over 41 years of boot fitting knowledge and teaching within the industry.
