WOVEN: Closing Celebration with Josh Tafoya

October 31 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

FREE

Try on a Josh Tafoya original! The Gallery @ Hotel Willa invites the community to a closing celebration of WOVEN, the striking solo exhibition by Taos-based artist and designer Josh Tafoya. The event takes place on the evening of Halloween, offering one last chance to experience this unforgettable body of work—where threads, textiles, and identity are intricately interlaced into a powerful statement of self-expression and craft.

In the playful spirit of the holiday, guests are invited to step into the world of WOVEN. For this special evening, Tafoya will present a collection of ready-to-wear pieces inspired by the exhibition—garments that blur the line between fashion, ritual, and art. Visitors are encouraged to try them on, embodying the bold textures and forms that define his work.

A Taos local, Josh Tafoya brings a distinctive voice to the region’s creative landscape. His practice explores the intersections of identity and cultural heritage through handwoven textiles, sculptural garments, and experimental design. WOVEN marks his most ambitious solo exhibition to date, transforming the gallery into a living archive of pattern, color, and storytelling.

The Gallery @ Hotel Willa, operated by The Paseo Project, is a year-round exhibition space dedicated to showcasing local and regional artists whose work engages contemporary ideas through diverse media. Located in the heart of Taos, the gallery continues The Paseo Project’s mission to foster community transformation through art and to celebrate the vibrant creative culture of Northern New Mexico.

Join us for an evening of art, fashion, and community as we celebrate the closing of this remarkable exhibition.
Free and open to all.
