Join us for an engaging conversation with two internationally recognized Indigenous artists as they explore the concept of survivance through their living artistic practices. Quilted Survivance presents a vibrant and welcoming space while addressing the historic and ongoing impacts of colonial violence on Indigenous communities.

Susan Hudson, a contemporary Navajo ledger quilter and co founder of the Navajo Quilt Project, and Kent Monkman, a Cree interdisciplinary artist known for challenging colonial narratives, will discuss how quilting and painting serve as acts of cultural memory, resistance, and celebration.

Together, Hudson and Monkman amplify stories that have too often been obscured, sharing how art can honor ancestors, confront difficult histories, and affirm Indigenous presence today.
