Details:
When: Friday June 27th 9 AM – 4 PM
Where: Meet at the parking lot behind the Phoenix Grill (36.576427, -105.438442)
What to Expect: A day filled with fun and trail maintenance on one of the Carson National Forest’s most popular trails! Work will mostly consist of rehabbing and revegetating social trails and heavily used areas off of the trail. We may also work on improving drainage if there’s time.
The trail starts at about 9,000′ and steadily climbs for 2 miles until reaching Williams Lake. We’ll be hiking about 4 miles roundtrip.
What to Bring: Please wear long pants, sturdy hiking shoes/work boots, work gloves, and eye protection (sunglasses okay). Bring a day pack with plenty of food and water, sunscreen, layers, and rain gear. *We will be on the trail all day and not returning to the cars for lunch*
ECTA will provide the hard hats and tools.
We hope to see you there!
