Join Harwood Museum of Art for Remembering Luchita, an exciting community collaboration with Millicent Rogers Museum and Taos Abstract Artist Collective (TAAC) for a conversation series honoring the life and work of Luchita Hurtado.
This distinguished panel will bring together fellow artists and friends who knew Luchita during her part-time residency in Taos. Luchita Hurtado’s friends, fellow artists, and some Taos heroes including Ron Cooper, Cynthia Patterson, Happy Price, and Hank Saxe, will share their respective memories and reflect on her legacy. The conversation will be moderated by Nicole Dial-Kay, Harwood Museum’s Curator of Exhibitions and Collections.
The first panel of the series will take place on January 19 at Millicent Rogers Museum and will bring together artists included in Channeling Luchita: A Community Response to the Life and Work of Luchita Hurtado at Millicent Rogers Museum, on view until February 2, 2025.
