Experiencing the Procession of the Virgin Mary at Taos Pueblo is a magical event, and unlike anything else on Earth. A stunning contrast between massive bonfires, called ocote or pitch wood towers, are lit to provide warmth and light, and the Procession of the Virgin with rifle salutes from the rooftops of the 1000 year old adobe pueblo buildings. A pageant of beauty, heritage, and awe inspiring imagery.

Mass will start at 5 pm (approximately), procession proceeds after mass, as well as the burning of the bonfires, lasting 2 hours or so. Parking is limited, showing up early would be ideal, dress warm! (FREE ADMISSION after a designated time) Please keep in mind there is no guaranteed handicap parking.
