Proyecto Cumbion was founded by Antonio Luis in 2021 with the goal of sharing the sounds of Cumbia Colombiana in New Mexico. Inspired by the great pioneers of Cumbia Colombiana like Andres Landero, Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, Carmelo Torres, Celso Piña and Yeison Landero, Proyecto Cumbion aims to fuse these styles to create a vibrant dancing atmosphere.

Paying homage to the original Cumbia genre, audiences will find themselves immersed in Afro-polyrhythmic and Indigenous Colombian beats driven by a mix of traditional and modern instruments. Our interactive shows will bring you to your feet and transport you to San Jacinto, Colombia the land of Cumbia.
