DESCRIPTION:The Foggy Memory Boys are a genre-hopping acoustic four piece comprised of good old bluegrass instruments with a playful energy and a strong melodically driven sound. Jacob Hagerty on mandolin\, Andy Yeomans on guitar\, Willie Hunton on dobro\, and singer songwriter Zephaniah Stringfield. The band was conjured up on a late night around a warm camp fire\, while picking the night away at the many bluegrass and folk festivals west of the Mississippi.

DESCRIPTION:Taos Jazz Bebop Society presents: The Marcos Varela Trio \nFebruary 7\, 7:00 PM \nMarcos Varela\, bass; Emilio Modeste\, sax; Michael Ode\, drums \nBassist Marcos Varela is known for his powerful tone\, musical sensitivity and versatility. Currently a member of the Gary Bartz Quartet\, Varela has worked with Billy Hart\, George Cables\, the Mingus Big Band\, Geri Allen\, Wynton Marsalis\, Sullivan Fortner\, Theo Croker\, and The Last Poets\, among countless others. \nHe shines also as a composer. His San Ygnacio Project is music inspired by his indigenous borderland heritage– blending colorful landscapes of sound with up-tempo bop and romantic ballads. \nHe is joined by two illustrious and exciting young players: saxophonist Emilio Modeste\, currently lead horn player for Stanley Clark and Cindy Blackman-Santana; and drummer Michael Ode\, currently with Kenny Garret. \nMore information and tickets
