SUMMARY:Taos Mountain Balloon Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Taos Mountain Balloon Rally has truly been a Taos community event. Every year on the last full weekend in October\, as the trees in the high country erupt into a painter’s canvas of oranges\, reds\, ambers and yellows\, even more color is added to the vista as the Taos skies are filled with dozens of brightly colored hot air balloons lifting into the clear\, cold dawn of a Taos Mountain sunrise. \nSmaller than many such events\, the Taos Mountain Balloon Rally is an invitational and typically hosts 35-50 balloons and crews each year. The rally – primarily because it is smaller and more intimate – has become a popular stop for balloonists\, families and crews\, Taoseños and visitors alike. Parents and kids get up-close and personal” with the balloonists every morning as the crews prepare for launch. The three‐day event includes mass ascensions at dawn\, balloon glows in the evening\, a parade and a grand ball. \n\nMorning mass ascensions Saturday & Sunday\nMeet the pilots\nLive music Saturday evening\nFood\, coffee\, arts & craft vendors Saturday & Sunday\nTrick or Treat balloon glow Saturday after dark\nFree tethered balloon rides for local school kids Friday morning\n\nMore information & Schedule.

SUMMARY:MovementLab’s Immersive Workshop
DESCRIPTION:MovementLab’s Immersive Workshop explores mindful process-based movement practices with Nadine Lollino\, artistic director of local performance collective\, MovementLab. Offering a deep-dive into this generative process\, a framework is created from which what you discover can emerge through curiosity and experimentation instead of from choreography. \nThe goal is to reinhabit our expressive self through the use of creative movement\, sensory imagination\, memory\, emotions\, drawing/writing\, and natural elements. This weekend will focus on nature’s adaptability\, interconnectivity\, and impermanence\, and their connection to our human experience. This creative and therapeutic approach to reconnecting with our genuine self exists beyond the studio\, it becomes a toolset for a more authentic and adaptable perspective to daily life and our relationships with self\, others and place. \nMovementLab’s work is rooted in diverse modalities\, including meditation\, yoga\, poetry\, qigong\, modern dance\, improvisation\, Butoh\, and expressive therapies. All you need is the willingness to be amazed. Previous experience is unnecessary. \nClass will be held at the Center for Creative Learning\, at the Harwood Museum\, Taos New Mexico \nOctober 24-25\, 2026\n9am to 4:30pm each day with a flexible one hour lunch break \n2-day workshop (includes free admission to the Friday evening performance) \nFor more information and to register.

SUMMARY:Josh Teed + Jason Leech w/ Lil Fish
DESCRIPTION:Josh Teed + Jason Leech w/ Lil Fish\, Tymer Buck\, Tyler Prism at The Mothership. \nJason Leech is a keyboardist\, producer\, and composer based out of Louisville\, KY who performs live triple keyboard flips over a variety of electronic beats. Jason has been studying\, performing\, and teaching music for most of his life and his approach to performing is to change the way people experience pianos and electronic music. In 2014\, Jason began experimenting with his own style of music by playing the piano over his original remixes of his favorite EDM songs. Combining all of what made him feel alive\, Jason recorded and uploaded his performances\, which immediately received positive feedback from fans and the original artists who created the music he remixed. His videos have been uploaded by artists such as Excision\, Zeds Dead\, Rezz\, RL Grime\, NGHTMRE\, Illenium \, Alison Wonderland\, Dj Diesel\, and many more of his influences. Since he debuted his live EDM keyboard set in 2017\, Jason has supported GRiZ\, Galantis\, Big Gigantic\, CloZee and more on stages as big as Red Rocks Amphitheater; along with festivals like Electric Forest\, Hulaween\, Envision\, Summer Camp\, and 100s more. \nJosh Teed is a versatile\, classically trained\, and technical musician. His productions pay tribute to some of his electronic influences such as Charlesthefirst\, CloZee\, and Govinda while still remaining unique and properly showcasing his vast expertise in instrumentalism. \nHe picked up the violin at the tender age of 3 years old\, going on to win the Florida Fiddle Championship at 9. His live sets incorporate violin\, didgeridoo\, and live analog synthesis overlaid on top of every element of a great DJ set\, keeping listeners engaged and entranced for every second he has on the stage \nLil Fish is a French DJ and electronic music producer whose sonic universe continues to expand over the years. He skillfully navigates between tracks tailored for the dancefloor—driven by powerful\, melodious\, and organic bass music—and more introspective\, mid-tempo compositions that immerse the listener in dark\, raw\, and emotionally deep atmospheres. \nWhat truly sets Lil Fish apart is his unique ability to blend modern rhythms with traditional sounds from Asia or Eastern Europe. This fusion invites us on a genuine mystical and sensory journey\, oscillating between light and darkness\, tribal energy and meditative reverie. \nFor more info and for tickets.
