DESCRIPTION:ECTA Adopt-A-Trail Work Day with Red Willow Hospice and ECTA for a trail maintenance day on the Devisadero trail. \nPlease email carel@enchantedcircletrails.org if you plan on coming. \nWhen: May 8th 11 AM – 3 PM\nWhere: Meet at the El Nogal Recreation Area (36.375732\, -105.546523)\nWhat to Expect: A day filled with fun and trail maintenance on Taos’ beloved Devisadero trail. Work will consist of basic trail maintenance: improving drainage and tread. We’ll be using tools like pick mattocks\, McLeods\, shovels\, loppers\, and hand saws. \nWe will be hiking 0.7 miles to the worksite and ~2-3 miles roundtrip. The trail is uphill\, exposed with limited shade\, steep in parts\, and has loose rock in parts. \nWhat to Bring: Please wear long pants\, sturdy hiking shoes/work boots\, work gloves\, and eye protection (sunglasses okay). Bring a day pack with plenty of food and water\, sunscreen\, layers\, and rain gear. \n*We will be on the trail all day and not returning to the cars for lunch* Red Willow Hospice will provide sandwiches for lunch\n \nECTA will provide the hard hats and tools. \nWe hope to see you there! \nFuture dates:\nMay 9\, 2026 Yerba Canyon trail\nJune 6\, 2026 National Trails Day TBA\nJune 12-14\, 2026 Santa Barbara CG\, Peñasco
