DESCRIPTION:ECTA is excited to host a comprehensive two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training instructed by Taos’ own Zackery Anderson of Desert Mountain Medicine. \nDate: May 2nd-3rd\, 2026\nLocation: Taos Area (exact locations TBD)\nCertifications: WFA\, CPR/AED\, WAT (valid for two years)\nCost: Email carel@EnchantedCircleTrails.org\nRegister: Email carel@EnchantedCircleTrails.org \nWhat you’ll learn \nWilderness First Aid courses are designed for outdoor enthusiasts and are the perfect training for anyone interested in doing volunteer trail work. \nThis comprehensive training focuses on prevention\, assessment\, and treatment of environmental illnesses\, recognizing and stabilizing life threats caused by trauma\, and properly calling for a rescue during a wilderness emergency. \nOrganizations that wish to get involved with the Adopt-a-Trail program are strongly encouraged to attend. \nAgenda \nDay 1\, 8 AM – 4:30 PM: The first day will focus on life-saving interventions\, identifying life threats\, performing a primary assessment\, practicing CPR\, and learning how to stop the bleed. \nDay 2\, 8 AM – 4:30 PM: The second day will focus on wilderness first aid and practicing scenarios in the field.
