SUMMARY:Drive-for-Sight Charity Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Lions Club of Taos Drive-for-Sight Charity Golf Tournament at the Taos Country Club. \nGolfers will start the day with a Breakfast Burrito & Coffee\, while they browse the Raffle & Charity Shopping tables\, buy Mulligans and load up their carts to tee off at 9:00 with their complimentary Swag Bag (free drink ticket included!) Tournament contests include Closest to the Pin\, Longest Drive\, a $25\,000 Hole in One contest and the super-fun $1\,000 Cash Shoot-Out after play is completed. The Tournament ends with a BBQ lunch starting at 1:00 – tickets are available for the non-golfers – invite friends\, family\, co-workers and neighbors. There will be an After-ParTee with music and fun\, including celebrating Tournament and Raffle winners! \nThis year’s proceeds will be used to fund our newest program – the Taos Lions Kids Eye Van\, so this Fall we can bring an eye doctor and provide free eyeglasses to 600+ children at their schools throughout Taos County- many of whom just cannot get to an optometrist on their own. As 80% of learning is visual\, this is a major step in support of our children’s education. It is a pilot project\, and it is hoped its success will lead to the State of New Mexico funding Eye Vans serving every K-12 student across New Mexico. We cannot emphasize strongly enough how important the success of this program is for the future of all New Mexico students\, from pre-school through adulthood. \nFor more information\, schedule and to sign up!

SUMMARY:Alison Krauss & Union Station
DESCRIPTION:Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas \nFor nearly four decades\, Alison Krauss & Union Station have upheld their legacy as one of the most influential and widely celebrated acts in bluegrass and roots music. Known for an immaculately crafted but endlessly surprising sound that transcends the boundaries of roots\, country\, rock & roll\, and pop\, Alison Krauss & Union Station are putting the finishing touches on a new album to be released in 2025—their first since the 2011 masterpiece Paper Airplane—a critically lauded\, multiple Grammy Award-winning LP that debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country\, Bluegrass\, and Folk Album charts. Over the years\, Alison Krauss & Union Station have brought their phenomenal live show to sold-out performances at famed venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre\, The Greek Theatre\, Radio City Music Hall\, and London’s Royal Festival Hall\, in addition to supporting Paul Simon in Hyde Park for his 2012 Graceland reunion. They now gear up for their first tour together since 2015. The players—Alison Krauss (fiddle\, lead vocal)\, Jerry Douglas (Dobro\, lap steel\, vocals)\, Ron Block (banjo\, guitar)\, Barry Bales (bass\, vocals)\, and welcoming highly acclaimed and celebrated tenor vocalist Russell Moore (guitar\, mandolin\, lead vocal) as the newest member—are five distinct personalities\, each of whom enjoys a flourishing solo career. But when they come together\, they transform into a peerless group of musicians who share a singular focus. \nMore information and Tickets \nSaturday\, June 21\, 2025\n7:00 PM to 10:30 PM\nDOORS 5:3pm   •  All Ages
