SUMMARY:TMBA: Annual Spring Fling Camp & Ride
DESCRIPTION:This year TMBA’s Annual Spring Fling Camp & Ride will be at Glorieta Adventure Camps.  These trails are easily some of the best thought out and constructed purpose built trails in the state of New Mexico. Guaranteed fun. \nRide Times: 10:30am Saturday and Sunday\nBurgers and Brats: Saturday 5:30pm   PLEASE RSVP to StokeTMBA@gmail.com\nCamping: Friday\, Saturday nights        PLEASE RSVP to StokeTMBA@gmail.com \nAbout the Rides:\n10:30am Saturday and Sunday\nThese will be very casual. Probably more casual than most of TMBAs group rides. There will be many riders wanting to do many different things\, so show up and team up with riders who fit your style. \nSome riders will choose to try and ride every trail; others will repeat favorite trails; others will session trails with multiple feature options\, attempting to ride more advanced lines. \nThere are high banked flow trails; there are techy gnar-gnar trails; there are Beginner\, Advanced and Expert trails; there are Jump Lines and there are cross country options. Something for everyone. \nGenerally\, the Glorieta trail system has two (2) hubs; these two hubs are connected by Easier\, Beginner trails: each hub has an access trail to the top\, then an advanced\, intermediate or an easier option down. As all the trails on each hub meet at the bottoms\, there will be an opportunity to find riding buddies all day. You may start your ride with one group\, join another\, and finish with a different group. \nAbout Dogs\, etc:\nRIFT CYCLES has agreed to once again provide a BIKE REPAIR STATION. They may even throw in a clinic or two on bike maintenance and preparation- always a crowd favorite. \nGlorieta allows dogs in the camp and on the trails\, but on leash only. \nFOR MORE INFORMATION

SUMMARY:Film Screening: Taos Poetry in Motion
DESCRIPTION:This exciting screening event will feature the premiere of a new film by 2022-2023 Taos Poet Laureate\, Joshua K. Concha. \nThis short film comprised of 14 poets reading work that acknowledge the role of Taos in the counter-culture movements of the 1960’s-70’s. Themes of unity\, peace\, love\, and community were paramount in the selection process of poems for the project. Each poem will be accompanied by a work of art from a local visual artist. The activist movements of the 1960’s and 1970’s were integral to advancing the interests of underserved communities of this nation and\, Taos\, with Taos Pueblo as its ancient cultural foundation\, was greatly impacted by the resulting Indian Civil Rights Act of 1965. The return of Blue Lake to Taos Pueblo in 1970 was indicative of the power of these movements and set a national precedent. It is vital that the spirit of these movements continues today and a poetry film project promoting these ideals will be a continuation of the blessings that the counter-culture movements inspired. While the film will be geared towards uplifting elements\, it will also include content that relates to the more challenging issues that are still relevant today in order to give a balanced perspective. \nThe film screening will be followed by a Q&A and reception.
